  • Spend on online and mobile platforms will rise 14% in 2012, (eMarketer Dec ‘12)
  • Online and mobile ads will account for 36.7% of UK media spending in 2012 & 45.1% 2016 (eMarketer Dec ‘12)
  • Ad revenues should expand by 4.3% worldwide in 2012 and 4% in 2013 at current prices (Warc Nov ‘12)
  • GroupM, has downgraded its global ad forecast for 2013, from 5.3% to 4.5% (Dec ’12)
  • The global ad economy will grow 3.1% in 2013-- 1.4% less than the previous projection in June of 2012, which was 4.5% (Magna Global Nov ’12)
  • Zenith predicts an increase in overall ad spending in the U.S. of 4.3% in 2012, 3.5% in 2013, 4.4% in 2014 and 4.7% in 2015 (Dec ‘12)
  • European tablet users spend 9 hours a week online, are 50% more likely to make purchases c/w all online users and spend 32% more (IAB Europe Nov ‘12)
  • Tablet penetration has now reached 17% in the UK, two-thirds of which (64%) have made a purchase online using their device (Orange Dec ‘12)
  • Between 2012 and 2015, online video will grow by over 50% annually. By 2016, video will account for 11% of digital ad spending in the UK (eMarketer Dec ‘12)
