  • The UK's total adspend growth has been revised down for 2011 to 1.7 In 2012 the market is expected to grow by 5.2% (WARC Nov’11)
  • US growth has also been revised down to 2.5% in 2011 but is still 4.1% for 2012 (WARC Nov’11)
  • UK Smartphone penetration is up to 38%, tablets to 6% and ereaders to 8% (Nielsen Q3 ’11)
  • UK online video sites continue to surge in visits, up 36% yoy and increasing share of all online traffic to almost 5% (Hitwise Now ’11)
  • UK, RTB-based display ad sales will stand for $100m or 6% of total online display sales in 2011, up by 552% from $16m or 1% of total online display sales in 2010 (Pubmatic Oct ’11)
  • Mobile devices generated 4.6% of European internet traffic in August (Comscore October ‘11)
  • In the UK, the number of people watching content videos online grew 4% over the past six months, but those exposed to ad videos increased by 37% (Comscore Nov ‘11)
  • iPad conversion rates are double that of desktop and almost twice as high as other mobile devices, (Nov ‘11)
  • In the UK, more than 9.5m people (23% of internet users) visited online coupon or voucher sites during Sept 2011; up 22% since April (Comscore Nov ‘11)
