Russell Kane to host AOP Awards

We're delighted to announce that the latest Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, Russell Kane will be hosting the AOP Awards on 9 June.

Russell describes himself as 'a shy pikey from Enfield', but in truth, he is a multi-talented writer and performer who has established himself as one the best comics in the UK today.

Aside from winning comedy’s most prestigious award , Russell is currently on a sell-out national tour with his award winning show ‘Smokescreens and Castles’ Russell also rejoined ITV2’s ‘I’m A Celebrity...’ presenting team last year, broadcasting live every night.

Previously, he presented ‘Freak Like Me’, a 6 part series for BBC3, wrote and performed the Fakespeare series, and made an acclaimed appearance on BBC One’s flagship live comedy show Live at the Apollo as well as a regular appearances on ITV's Comedy Rocks.


AOP hands out 19 awards on the night, recognising outstanding achievement from the digital publishing industry.

With an exciting line up of entertainment queued up (much more yet to be revealed) you can expect red carpet glamour, buckets of entertainment, and of course, plenty of competition!
