LONDON 26 JUNE 2009: The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) announces that Liz Somerville, the acting director will be leaving AOP on 9th July to take up a new role with the Blue Cross.
Alison Reay and Tim Faircliff, Co-Chairs of AOP said, "We are sorry to see Liz leave the AOP. She has been a loyal, dynamic and truly effective member of the executive team for the past three and a half years, most recently as Acting Director. On behalf of all our members we wish her every success in her change of career path and thank her for her energy and contribution on behalf of the industry.”
Bill Murray continues to act as Consultant to AOP while a new director is found. Bill Murray was the founding chairman of AOP for four years until 2006, and left Haymarket after 22 years in December 2008, where he was latterly Managing Director for group business information strategy.
