Paul Lomax heads up digital product development at
Dennis Publishing. He recently led the launch of
www.carbuyer.co.uk, a new pure-play brand and Dennis’ first user-centric designed website, built with ‘lean’ production methods in just four months.
Paul joined Dennis in 2009, having served as head of new media at Manchester-based GMG Regional Media - publishers of the Manchester Evening News at the time – where he was responsible for product development and the media sales teams. His previous stint in publishing was six years at IPC Media in digital publishing and technology roles, where he scaled up the digital department from five to over 40 staff, and led the launch of over 50 websites including
marieclaire.co.uk and
nowmagazine.co.uk.
His experience extends agency-side, most recently as a director of e-commerce and creative agency Pod where he led user-experience and technology for sites such as Virgin Holidays and Jigsaw. Paul also ran his own Manchester-based agency in the late 90s, before moving to London ten years ago.
Paul spoke at AOP's forum,
The Secrets of Product Success on 9 December 2010.
Paul also chaired a panel at
The AOP Summit 2011 on 14 October -
