IPC Southbank, the upmarket women’s division of IPC Media, has appointed Anthony Thornton as Digital Director.
Currently Digital Editorial Development Director, Southbank Fashion, as well as Group Digital Editor, IPC Inspire, Anthony will now lead digital development across all of Southbank’s growing digital businesses.

a leader in its sector and in developing Southbank’s ability to offer unrivalled cross-platform solutions to advertising partners.
In his new position, Anthony becomes a member of the IPC Southbank board. He will report to Southbank managing director Jackie Newcombe.
Jackie says: “Over the last year, Southbank’s digital businesses have grown substantially in terms of traffic, revenue and profits. Anthony’s work on our fashion titles – Marie Claire, InStyle and Look – has been truly exceptional and we have seen significant development on the web, in mobile and in social media. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to extend Anthony’s knowledge and expertise across the entire group.”
Anthony adds: “I’m delighted to be offered this opportunity. This year has been an excellent one for me where I’ve been very lucky to work with an extraordinarily talented group of people in Southbank. I’m pleased that I’ve been able to contribute to the success of these fantastic digital brands.”
Anthony will take up his new position on 1 November.
