Emap has relaunched the website of its fashion industry title
Drapers, with a greater focus on audio-visual content, an enhanced
community section and an
all new blogs area of the site.
The site was designed and built by AOP Associate Members
Abacus e-Media, and is powered by Abacus' multichannel CMS,
Webvision v3, and is the first of several Emap websites which will be redeveloped by Abacus.
Containing a wealth of constantly updated news, views, trends and interviews, the site incorporates powerful and intelligent search functionality using Autonomy’s world-leading software
IDOL v7. Job feeds are provided by
Madgex, which have been seamlessly integrated into the website’s functionality by Abacus.
User engagement is being enhanced through blogs and a community section integrating Drapers’ Facebook user group and Twitter feed, plus the opportunity to subscribe to regular personalised email newsletters, with content specific to different sectors of the fashion industry.
The design, produced by Abacus, features the use of full-length images, video, and picture galleries, as Drapers tracks the latest catwalk trends from all the leading industry fashion shows.
Abacus e-Media’s other clients include UBM, Thomson Reuters, Macmillan, Centaur, Times Supplements and Newsquest. The company supports services for its clients in the UK, USA, Japan and Hong Kong.
