AOP Digital Publishing Awards 2014
We are pleased to announce the shortlists for three further categories for its annual Digital Publishing Awards.
Entries for the Digital Ad Ops Team, Media Technology Partner and Commercial Partnership categories were so close they required further deliberation from the judging panel following the initial judging day last week.

Guardian News and Media
and Hearst Magazines
which both had six nominations from the first round of judging further added to their tallies after being included on the shortlist for the Commercial Partnership
category. Shortlist Media, Dezeen, Global Radio
complete the category’s shortlist and adding to their existing nomination in the first round.
meanwhile picked up a further two nominations in the Media Technology Partner
and Digital Ops Team
categories bringing their total number of nominations for this years awards to seven.
The other organisations nominated are: Telegraph Media (Digital Ops Team), Unruly(Digital Ops Team), Skimlinks, OnScroll, Kaldor and Taboola (all for Media Technology Partner).

AOP Privacy Breakfast with Lewis Silkin
AOP convened a roundtable for members to discuss data privacy and key themes of transparency, trust, consent and the ‘value exchange’ associated with consumers providing personal data in return for free to access digital services.
FTI Consulting presented highlights of its recent UK survey that indicates that a large percentage of UK consumers are concerned about the amount and type of information about individuals that can be collected and used Lewis Silkin outlined some of the key changes that are likely to be introduced by the proposed new EU Data Protection Regulation. Deloitte Media Consumer Survey 2014
The ‘Media Consumer’ is almost unrecognisable compared to eight years ago. They are media addicts: resulting in disruption to the TV industry, social media as an entertainment medium, the rise of streaming vs. radio, the new casual gamer and an obsession with technology.
This year marks the eighth annual Deloitte Media Consumer Survey, presenting our view on the major trends that are impacting the media landscape and how the UK population ‘consumes’ media. For the first time, we have written the survey to be focussed on the UK market and the challenges and trends organisations in the technology, media and telecoms industry face.
