AOP Autumn 2014 Conference - 9th October, Etc Venues, St Pauls

Thriving in a Connected Device World

The Wall Street Journal and FaR Partners have joined the line-up of speakers for the AOP’s Autumn Conference The latest addition to the panel on cross-platform content is John Crowley, digital editor EMEA for the Wall Street Journal, who will be bringing his experience of working across multiple platforms to bear on the issues facing editorial staff as their readers demand content tailored for the device they’re using, and the ability to swap seamlessly from that device to another. The “View From The Agencies” panel will be chaired by Dominic Finney, Director at media consultancy FaR Partners. He will be bringing together senior representatives from creative, media, specialist and integrated agencies to discuss how agencies will work together in the future, how they see the relationship between publishers and agencies developing and what they need from publishers to make that working relationship better. The day will also feature keynote sessions from Future and Google, the findings of the latest AOP Content and Trends Census, and case studies of the use of the latest publishing technologies. Mobile Advertising Forum - 17th September 

The AOP’s Forum in association with Celtra Mobile, will look in depth at mobile advertising. Starting with insights into how mobile advertising is being consumed, it will cover issues including mobile’s role in the cross-platform mix; how mobile is sold by publishers, and how it’s bought by agencies; how publishers will need to be organised to sell mobile advertising in the future; and the increasing role of programmatic in mobile. The session will also look at how mobile ads can be made more engaging, through new formats, better creative and better targeting. And it will discuss the differences between smartphone and tablet advertising.
