Happy New Year from the AOP

We trust our members and subscribers had a restful break and are raring to go for 2014! The team are full steam ahead for a full and engaging year with our membership and wider community and have kicked off the New Year with some structural and management changes; New MD at AOP Tim Cain became Managing Director on 1st January after 5 years in the role of Head of Research and Insight, and will take responsibility for the running of the company. Tim joined AOP in December 2008 and brings to his new role a wealth of experience in the digital publishing industry as well as strong relationships across our membership. Head of Events We are pleased to announce the promotion of Zoe Blackmore to Head of Events at AOP. Zoe joined AOP in December 2011 and has successfully developed the AOP events programme to reflect relevance and value for members and will lead the continued future growth of the AOP events programme into 2014 and beyond.

Group News

The first group meeting of the year was the AOP Research group who met at the Guardian offices to discuss the 2014 AOP Research Project followed by presentations from Starcom Mediavest Group who discussed Semiometrie which is a unique research tool for profiling respondents and UKOM who gave an update on 2014 plans for multi-platform reporting. Members from DMG Media, Guardian, IPC Media, Telegraph, Thomson Reuters, and Trinity Mirror attended.

AOP and Circus Street

Econsultancy and Rubicon Project Publish Online Advertisers Survey Report Econsultancy and Rubicon Project have now published their 2013 Online Advertisers Survey Report, based on a survey of more than 1,000 advertisers and publishers, with the research supported by the Association of Online Publishers (AOP) and Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).
