The full programme for AOP's data journalism event on 16 May has been announced.
Chaired by
Neil McIntosh, Deputy Editor, The Wall Street Journal, Europe, the first half will focus around understanding the datasets and toolkits available to journalists, with talks from Financial Times Interactive Producer
Martin Stabe and Data Journalism Trainer and Digital Strategist at Media Bridge
Kevin Anderson.
In the second half, we will hear from developer Alex Graul on the
Miso project an 'open source toolkit that aims to simplify the process of interactive storytelling and data visualisation.'
We will then move into practical considerations for a working data journalism team, from data journalist and tutor
Caroline Beavon and Senior Product Manager
Andrew Leimdorfer will speak on how data journalism works at the BBC.
