The latest UK and global ad forecasts and US Online ad forecasts, as well as latest online audience stats, trends on traffic stats, and insight on video,advertising (mobile, video and effectiveness), iPad/tablets, apps, eCommerce, social media and online measurement.


  • The AA and Warc, predict internet spend in 2011 is expected to gain additional ad revenue with 7.2% growth vs 5.8% predicted in March. (AA/WARC June '11)
  • GroupM has revised down its forecast for UK adspend growth in 2011, from 3.6% to 1.5%. Online display and email will grow by 11.9%, rather than 5% predicted in December(June ‘11)
  • eMarketer expects US online advertising spending to reach $31.3 billion this year, up 20.2% yoy. June ’11)
  • Around one in twenty internet sessions in the UK is now from a non-computer device (Comscore May ’11)
  • In the US the average mobile user now spends 9% more time using mobile apps than the Internet (Flurry June ’11)
  • Online ecommerce spend in May jumped 18% yoy to £5.3bn. (IMRG Capgemini June ‘11)
  • Overall, social media sharing now produces approx 10% of all web traffic (June '11)
