Kate Silverton, News and Current Affairs Journalist

Kate presents the News at One, Six and BBC Breakfast.

She has reported from the frontline in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and appeared on programmes such as Have I got News for You and Top Gear.

Her primetime work includes reporting for Panorama and presenting Big Cat Live as well as the outdoors programme "Ultimate Wild Water" where she won huge acclaim for overcoming her fear of open water to tackle some of Britain's most notorious waters by kayak.
