Having worked in media for 15 years George has developed a strong commercial background in B2B sales.
Starting his career in recruitment media, working across numerous Haymarket brands, including, Marketing, Campaign and PRWeek he has never been far away from recruitment sales.
George spent a number of years working as commercial director, and later publisher, across three Haymarket public sector brands, Planning Magazine, the ENDS Report and launched a new weekly, Regeneration & Renewal (where the majority of revenues were from recruitment) he also launched a series of live events including awards, conferences and one of Haymarket’s biggest specialist exhibitions The Northern Regeneration Conference.
In 2007 Haymarket centralised all of its recruitment products into one division, Haymarket Recruitment Media, and George was to head up the newly formed group.
Responsible for all recruitment revenues across 14 specialist B2B job sites including BrandRepublic and ThirdSectorJobs as well as 12 print products, George has developed a sound understanding of how B2B recruitment has changed over the last 5 years and the challenges it faces today.
Despite the economic downturn and the continuous evolution of the recruitment landscape Haymarket’s vertical job sites have seen share and revenue growth however not without their own specific sector challenges.
