As of 1st March 2011, the ASA’s CAP code has been extended to cover online marketing communications. The code offers a new layer of protection for the consumer, but failing to comply could spell hefty penalties for businesses. With a multitude of channels and content types falling under the code’s remit, it’s important that you understand how to audit and address issues with existing content, as well as ensuring creation of new content meets the code’s requirements.

Our seminar, hosted by iCompli® CEO Duncan Smith, will guide you through the anatomy of the new Code and provide practical tips for small businesses concerned about compliance. In particular, the session will examine the pitfalls around UGC, social media and unfair commercial practices. Jargon free with plenty of examples, this is an essential session for all marketers and business owners.

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in online marketing activities and brand representation, as well as business owners, content producers and legal professionals who want to understand the implications of the Code for online activity.
